A great start to 2013

And I have all of you to thank for it! This year is off to the best start possible for The Stolen Colon. Already this month, the number of views on the site is higher than any other month (with the exception of the weeks right after I had my surgery) and there’s still a week left!

Also, just this week, we hit over 20,000 views! This makes me so excited about what’s still to come this year. I am looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things and sharing new experiences. Please, feel welcome to join in on this community. I would love to hear from you! Thank you for all of your support and encouragement.

    Hi Stephanie,
My name is kerriann and I am so excited about this site. I am an avid exerciser nd have had a colectomy in 2002, chronic pseudo obstructions, then finally after 9 yrs of suffering they told me I needed an ostomy. It took me a year to decide about the ostomy when the surgeon 1st presented it. I was scared and then had enough and went ahead and did it. I am still suffering with it though. I have gastroparesis, slow motility in the entire digestive tract and am in and out of the ER weekly with the bag not working for 6-8 hrs.

I want to get back to my fitness routine and am lacking energy so badly. Every morning I wake up and hope today is the day I can do cardio and/ or weights and its not happening for me. I live on Long Island and wanted to start jogging so that I can start doing 5 is and other marathons and races but I can barely get off the couch. I am soooooo upset over this. Have you experienced any set backs in your journey with your ostomy?

I thank you for your blog and site. Look forward to hearing and reading much more from many followers. Anyone reading this can answer or chime in, all are welcome!

    Thanks so much,
    Kerriann Clark

Sit down, stay a while. I'd love to hear from you.
