It seems this is going to be a lean month for The Stolen Colon. I’m sorry I’ve been so absent! I don’t like feeling like I’m neglecting my site because it’s such an important thing in my life, but there are just so many things that have gotten in the way recently. I took a trip to Florida with my sister for my cousin’s wedding for several days and my grad school class has really stepped up and I actually have to lead the lecture and discussion this coming week, so that has definitely kept me occupied.
So while even now I don’t have a whole lot of time to lament my absence, I have some really exciting news. Frank Garufi, Jr. from The Crohn’s Colitis Effect (you may remember Frank from an online interview we did last year) asked me to be a guest on this month’s IBD Round Table! The Round Table group meets every month on Google Hangouts to discuss important topics in the inflammatory bowel disease world and answer questions that others out there might have. Plus, I get to be the representative of the ostomy community this month!
And by the way, THE ROUND TABLE IS TONIGHT! I’d love for you guys to join in at 9:00 EST to watch and submit any questions you might have. Follow this link to RSVP and get set up. As I mentioned, we’ll be doing the round table on Google Hangouts, so if you have a Google+ account, you can interact with us, ask questions and make comments. (If you don’t have a Google+ account, send me a message and I’ll help you get set up!) Otherwise, you can also watch on YouTube without an account.
I feel very honored to have been asked to be a part of this group and am really looking forward to the discussion. I think this is going to be a great opportunity to meet some new people and take part in a fun event. See you there!!
