I just now realized that we already started March. I mean, I knew it was coming. I work in a job where the start of the new month means a lot of changes, so I’m very aware that it’s a new month. But it didn’t dawn on me in a personal way; in the way that makes me think about what has been accomplished and what is yet to come. So honestly, I hadn’t really thought through what I hoped to do with this month.
It is my birthday month, so that always makes for a fun time. I’m looking forward to having the weekend off, going out for a nice dinner with my husband and enjoying some times with friends and family. Nothing big planned, but that’s just the way I like it.
Right now, I feel that I’ve gotten into a pretty good rhythm with the things I wanted to accomplish throughout the year. I still have a ways to go, but I definitely feel that I’m making progress. I do need to get better at keeping the house clean, but I feel that I’ve been so tied up with going to work, running/working out and other events and such that I have been attending, that when I have a little time at the end of the day, I don’t want to spend it cleaning. I’d like to relax for a few minutes with my husband.
But so far, I’m feeling really good about the first two months of the year. I’ve redesigned this blog, been staying on track with my half-marathon training, getting used to living on a budget and paying down the car, and have been accepted into grad school. I’m actually pretty proud.
So this month is going to be a little more of the same… keeping up with all of the things that are continuous from month-to-month. I’m excited about getting more into the training for Team Challenge and enjoying it as the weather gets warmer. Getting things figured out for entering grad school. I’m just looking forward to what’s next.
So here are the plans that I do have figured out for this month:
- Team Challenge goals
- Meet up with all of the Triangle/Eastern-NC Team Challenge participants and work with them on training and fundraising.
- Plan group fundraiser with other participants.
- Secure donations for my Team Challenge fund.
- Grad School goals
- Officially accept graduate school invitation.
- Apply for scholarships and make budget to pay for tuition.
- Enroll in classes!
- Read Sense and Sensibility for Jane Austen book club. (I have to write a post about our new book club soon!)
- Celebrate my birthday in style.
